Tiny Peek inside of Cirque Du Freak

You are about to receive info about an outstanding book

"Cirque Du Freak" by Darren Shan

This outstanding book has 153 pages of interesting story. I don't want to spill the beans about any of the surprises in this book, so you're going to have to read it yourself to find out. I would like to recommend this book to anyone who likes vampires, circuses, freak shows, and suspense. Cirque Du Freak is full of surprises that you would never expect to happen. There are plenty of times where you will jump out of your seat or want to hide under the covers after being scared from what you have read. Not only does this story have a freak show, but it has a vampire in the freak show!

Don't be afraid to be who you really are

The catch phrase that I think fits this story is: Don't be afraid to be who you really are.

In this particular book there are quite a couple of creepy things that happen. But you will have to find them out yourself by reading this outstanding book!

In this book the author writes in first person point of view. The story is told directly through Darren's eyes, thoughts, and words.

Here are some of the characters, settings, events, and conflicts.

The characters of this story are Madam Octa, Steve, Darren, and Mr. Crepsley. The story's settings are at Darren's school, the hospital, a freak show in an old theatre, and Darren's house. The events in this book begin when Darren and Steve go to see a freak show. Darren then steals a performing spider named Madam Octa, then Steve goes to the hospital after being bitten by the spider. To save Steve's life, Darren becomes a vampire's assistant, which also makes him a half-vampire. The conflicts of Cirque Du Freak are when Darren and Steve fought about becoming vampires, when Madame Octa bites Steve and he almost dies, and when Mr. Crepsly and Darren made a decision about becoming a half vampire to save Steve.

The theme of the story!!!

The theme of this story is that people are not always what you think they are.

How can i apply this theme to my life?

I can apply this theme to my life in many ways. One guy that I knew who was very sweet ended up being different when I figured out he wasn't a good kid. When you see someone that looks mean on the street, they can become your best friend. If people look angry they might be really sweet, but they could just be having a bad day. A frown doesn't always mean that someone is a mean person, it could mean they are just angry about something and they need someone to talk to. The way someone dresses or looks isn't always how they act. You have to learn to get to know someone before you know who they really are.
