Hiking is great exercise! And is one the best ways to reduce stress, depression, and muscle tension. According to “Dr. Susan Kansagra, deputy commissioner for the division of health promotion and disease prevention at the New York City health department, said that regular walking helps reduce the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes and osteoporosis.” Why should you hike at least once a week? You will have a better chance in living a longer, happier, healthier life.

Get your strength back!

Hiking helps people regain their strength if they have had a surgery or gotten in a bad car accident. Hiking will calm the body and help them recover mentally and physically. As said in the article, “According to the American Hiking Society, hiking delivers a remarkable range of health benefits with comparatively few risks.” So if you want to get in shape, I suggest you try hiking.

Challenge yourself

Hiking is also amazing for connecting with the earth and all the different creatures surrounding you.
