Math Club Mondays
Have you ever played Trashketball? How about Cup Stacking? Zap!? These are just a few of the games that we will be playing at Math Clubs! Students will be playing games to reinforce key math concepts that are appropriate for their learning levels. We encourage learning coaches to stay and engage in learning coach training on math strategies and supports to use at home.
Three math clubs are available:
- Ms. Rogers will be reinforcing addition and subtraction.
- Mr. Dowling will be playing multiplication and division games.
- Mrs. Nommensen will be teaching higher level math rules.
*If you have questions on which club your student should attend, please consult your teacher.
Join any club you like and enjoy applying math using fun games! After clubs are over, stay for ISL to get caught up on your K12 assignments! We are here to help you out! Sign up with this link: www.SignUpGenius.com/go/508084EABAB23A4FA7-math

In Math kindergarten students began working on writing numbers to 50. 1st graders reviewed fact families. Learning fact families is a great strategy to use for math fact practice and fluency.
Next week: We will continue to focus on literature circle discussions and 5 Star Sentences. Students will also continue to practice addition & subtraction fact fluency.
Mr. Dowling's Classroom
Mrs. Nommensen's Classroom
I want to thank everyone for coming to conferences! We had a great turn out! If you were not able to make it, please set up a time with me in the next week to meet!
I also want to thank the students who came to class with their Literature Circle work complete! It really leads to great discussions in class. Learning Coaches, please go into the units in K12 and choose the book in the system. This will allow us to be able to get it marked as complete. Have this done by Friday February 23.
We do not have class connect sessions this Friday (2/16) and Monday (2/19). Enjoy the break and I will see you all next week! Remember your box tops!!
