Why Canberra?
Canberra was chosen because of its temperatures (not too hot and not too cold). It was chosen because it was around an even distance between Sydney and Melboure, two cities that both were fighting to become trhe capital.
It was a city that was mostly farmland so it could be re-made to become architecturally designed and professional capital territory.
Parliamentary triangle
The parliamentary triangle is located in Canberra and was designed with Parliament House as the apex.
Walter Burley Griffin
Walter Burley Griffin was the architect that won the competition to design Canberra.
Parliament house
Measuring approx 300 by 300 squared meters, the Australian Parliament House is the main building of the city of Canberra. This house is used for Parliamentary purposes and can be visited by the public.
