Ethnic Discrimination

Discrimination against Arabs
Arab Americans still face discrimination in the media, in schools, and work places. Examples include a teacher asking her student if he has a bomb in his backpack. Ethnic discrimination became prevalent after 9/11 because now Americans fear for their lives from any Middle Eastern and Arabian person. In 2010, at a meat packing company supervisors and workers were cursing, throwing blood, meat and bones at Arabian immigrants. State and local police misconducted such as ethnic profiling and unlawful detention of Arab Americans.
