Happy Holidays from the Oster Staff

During this Holiday Season, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of our Oster families that go the extra mile to support us. Don't think for a minute that we do not see you slipping on the bright green visitor sticker and quietly entering our campus to help. You are in our classrooms supporting teachers with Project Cornerstone activities, Art Vistas, small group instruction, or stuffing Wednesday communication envelopes. You are in our work room running copies, creating posters, and prepping projects for our students. And then we have our Home and School Club and School Site Council members that spend endless hours checking School Site Plans, Safe School Plans, organizing our Harvest Festival, Holiday Party, and a dozen other fun events. We love you and thank you for all that you do. We hope you have a peaceful holiday break, and as you can see, we are ready for our break!

Hour of Code

Some of your children may come home and talk about participating in the Hour of Code. The Hour of Code takes place each year during Computer Science Education Week. This year it is December 4th through December 8th. We will have a few classes participating and they will be supported by our STEAM TOSA, Kaitlin Klein, and our Curriculum TOSA, Mary Fran Lynch. Don't be surprised if your children come home talking about creating their own Google Logos, Minecraft coding, Star Wars Coding, or programming Ozobots. If you would like more information on this fun week, please go to code.org.

Oster Lost and Found

If your child is missing a sweater, jacket, or sweatshirt, please drop by the lost and found located in front of the cafeteria. We have an overabundance of outerwear that needs to be claimed. You are welcome to drop by anytime during the school day. Parents do a much better job of identifying clothing than our students. After December 22nd, they will be donated to charities.
