Fox Family Focus
Week of September 26, 2021
Greetings Fox Families!
This is Anita Roane, your principal with this week’s announcements and reminders. I hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed family and friends! This is a fun time of year for our little ones to learn about Johnny Appleseed and do some special activities to celebrate his birthday.
Tomorrow is the big date for the special presentation highlighting our Title I program at Moss-Nuckols Elementary School. As you have been hearing this month during the meeting, information will be shared about our Title I program followed by a question/answer period via telephone. The presentation will also be posted on our website so you may view it at a later time if that is more convenient for your family’s schedule. This meeting’s presentation will be sent via email to all families on Monday evening.
Thank you to those of you that joined us for our September PTA meeting. It is our hope that you found it to be informative. If you have not paid your $5.00 to be a part of this great home and school partnership it is not too late. Simply send in your funds in an envelope and place it in your child's Fox Folder with both of your names on the outside of the envelope along with the teacher's name.
Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. Under the parent resource tab further down on this newsletter you will find a link for different virtual family events and activities you can do together.
Congratulations to our very own Mrs. Raettig!
She was awarded the TeamLCPS Community MVP award last week. She has been the long-term substitute in Mrs. Hankin’s kindergarten classroom since August and she has been doing an amazing job. We love having her as part of our Fox Family!
The Scholastic Book Fair is Coming Soon!
