June 15, 2022
Dear Parents, Students, and Families,
Our year is coming to a close, and we look forward to seeing our 2nd-year students return in September and the opportunity to get to know our new students. Information regarding the coming year will be sent during the summer.
We have staff changes for the coming year. Tim Stebbins, Asst. Director is leaving BRCOT after eight years of service. We thank him for all he has done for our school and community and wish him well in his principalship. Kim Bennett replaces Tim. Kim will start in July and has worked for the past ten years as an Assistant Principal at South Portland High School. Before working in administration, she was a special education teacher. We look forward to her starting and bringing a wealth of expertise to help us improve BRCOT.
Ms. Deb Hapgood has retired after 26 years of service. She will be replaced by Amy Elie, R.N. Mrs. Elie has worked for BRCOT for the past three years and is excited to continue the CNA program. While in high school, Mrs. Elie completed the CNA program and continued her nursing studies. She worked at Maine Medical Center as a nurse for many years before beginning her teaching career with us.
Lastly, we say goodbye to Ed Driscoll, our beloved Engineering/Architectural Design teacher. After 22 years of service, he is taking a position in the District where he lives. He won't miss his long commute and will be able to spend more time with his family. We will be replacing his position. We wish Ed luck as he starts in his new school.
The office has limited hours during the summer, but if you have any questions, please call us or email me. We wish you all a safe and fun summer.
Warm wishes,
Paulette Bonneau, Director

More information about the event and ticket sales are forthcoming. Biddeford Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to support the needs of students within our community that fall outside of the regular school budget. Through grant monies and fundraising efforts, the foundation has been able to assist in providing food and clothing to families in need. In addition, the Foundation has focused on supporting our increasing homeless population by helping to identify affordable housing to ensure children have a safe place to sleep each night. The foundation also supports teacher mini-grants allowing educators to think outside the box for innovative learning opportunities that would not otherwise be funded.
