San Jose Parent Newsletter for week of June 1, 2020
A letter from the principal
As we close out the 2019-2020 school year, I want to thank all of you for allowing us to be a part of your family and for supporting us in the education of your children. I also want to thank you for welcoming me with open arms and allowing me the honor to lead your child's school. While the year certainly took some unexpected twists and turns, I am hopeful for the future and excited for what the coming year will bring.
The new school building is coming along nicely- foundation has been poured and workers are busily making magic happen every day. Our enrollment continues to grow (we have a waitlist!) and we continue to add new staff. Our athletics program is officially launched, as we are being inducted into the Florida High School Athletic Association. Our athletic director, Mr. Drummond, has been hard at work every day getting all the foundations in place for next year's program (yes, pep rallies are coming!).
While there may be a lot of unknowns right now, and a lot of horrible and sad events taking place around our country, I want to take this moment to reflect on my gratitude for your students and for the wonderful beings that they are. Please continue to teach them to spread kindness to everyone every chance they get and to be there for those in need. the world needs more kindness and love- our kids are the future of this country, and they will be the ones to make a difference. I hope that we, at San Jose Prep, have the opportunity to make a difference in their lives in some way.
May you be safe, happy and have a wonderful summer. Please know that we are here for you if you need us. Take good care of yourselves, and each other.
Mrs. Knapp

We plan to send a newsletter this week when we receive final instructions with all the information about tickets, seating, etc...
Please expect a ticket RSVP form to go out with that newsletter. We as that you please complete the form so we can work together with the stadium personnel in arranging for safe seating for everyone.
All Seniors will be required to attend a graduation rehearsal on Friday, June 12. We are awaiting a final rehearsal time. As soon as that is established, we will publish via all of our usual channels (website, social media, app, newsletter, phone call).
Thank you for your continued patience through this difficult process. We hope that this graduation will be a beautiful and unforgettable experience for you and your family.
