Murray's Gifted Gab
August 2018
Welcome Back!
"When does AIG start?" That's a great question and one that I hear often from students and parents. AIG started on day one! We have amazing teachers, many of which have AIG credentials or are licensed. They collaborate with me to make sure that we are meeting the needs of students. We plan together, analyze data, do fun things like Breakouts, and discuss students to make sure that everyone is getting what they need to grow as a learner. I do not typically pull students from classes. At the middle school level, AIG looks very different.
Throughout the school year, I will send out e-mails and I send my monthly newsletter via e-mail. If you do not receive e-mails from me throughout the year, please e-mail me so that I can make sure you are added.
I will be doing lunch bunches again this school year. It was well received by our 6th graders so I hope to expand it to the other grade levels as well.
If you have questions or concerns about your gifted child, please contact me. I am happy to discuss academic needs or social-emotional needs that are specific to giftedness.
