Lynne Olson, author of "Those Angry Days," which chronicles the debate over American intervention in World War II-a bitter, sometimes violent clash of personalities and ideas that divided the nation. Incorporated in 2004, the Sir Winston Churchill Society of Vancouver Island's objectives are: to stimulate an appreciation of history and of national and international affairs through the provision of educational scholarships, bursaries, prizes and awards; and to sponsor speeches, lectures, panel discussions and debates, in such a manner as to perpetuate the memory of the Right Honourable Sir Winston Spencer Churchill.
