Room Inventory Audits
How to do a Room Audit at a Campus
Open TIPWeb
Select which site you will be auditing.
Click on the Room Page
Type the room you will be auditing under the Room Number filter
Open the Audits Tab of the Room
Click on on Add Record
Scanned Assets
This will display what kind of scan is conducted in the room audit.
- Inventory - Displays how many assets are in the room
- Verified - Displays how many correct assets were scanned in the room
- Found - Displays how many items were scanned in another room during the audit
- Missing - Displays how many items have not been scanned
- Misplaced - Displays how many items were scanned in a room they are not inventoried to
As you scan the asset tags in, your missing audit totals should be going down and your verified audit totals should be going up.
Start Audit
Using your bluetooth scanner, please start scanning all asset tags in the Enter Tag... box you see to add them to the audit.
If a device does not have a asset tag, please click on the product listed in the Room Audit page to display and verify the SN before typing in the asset tag.
If you accidentally scan or type in the wrong asset tag, you may go in and remove that asset tag by expanding the product arrow and clicking the orange back arrow.
After fixing this, click the flag to mark the room as Scan Complete.
Finalizing Audit
When you are done scanning, click the flag in the top right corner to complete room audit
Once a room is finalized you will not be able to reopen the room audit. I strongly suggest you do not mark it complete until you are absolutely sure you are done.
