A Few Reminders...

Masking Requirements / Covid Screener - A reminder that anyone (child or staff) who has been sick (any sickness) or has been in close contact with someone who has tested positive, is required to wear a mask at school for 10 days from the onset of symptoms or exposure. Thank you in advance for your continued screening and being diligent with this.

- Please remember to continue screening your child for Covid every day. The screener can be found here: https://www.ontario.ca/school-screening/

Anyone who is feeling sick or has any symptoms of illness, including those not listed in this screening tool, should stay home and seek assessment from their health care provider if needed. It is strongly recommended that all individuals age 2 or older wear a well-fitted mask in indoor public settings. This includes school and child care due to the additional risk of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) and influenza.

Triboard Transportation
Families should ensure they are signed up to receive direct notifications, either by email, or Tri-Board’s app. Delays and cancellations are also posted to Tri-Board’s Twitter account.

Cashless Schools - As you know, we are going cashless. Has your family already enrolled in the School Day platform? Thanks for your attention to this and thank you to families who have already registered and linked their students! A reminder that codes are student specific and can be found on the paper forms that have already been distributed. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you need another copy of the form for your child(ren).

Indigenous Self-Identification form and process

Shé:kon, Boozhoo. This Fall, the LDSB Indigenous Education Team has worked to improve the Indigenous Self-Identification Form and process. With collaboration and feedback from our Indigenous Education Advisory Committee, the board has created an online version of the form that will be available on the K-12 Indigenous Education Minds Online page and on the LDSB website. This online form is meant to make the Self-Identification process more accessible for students and families, as well as reduce our use of paper across LDSB.

This online form can be filled out on both a computer and mobile device here.
