Trex Plastic Film Recycling Challenge Update
Thank you to everyone who has donated recyclables to the Trex Plastic Film Recycling Challenge! For the month of January, we collected 92 lbs. of plastic wrap -- our largest haul yet! We are making excellent progress while keeping plastic out of our homes, the environment, and landfills.
As a reminder, please do not include any plastic containers or food items in the Trex recycling bin. Acceptable plastic wrap should be clean and dry and labeled with recycling logo 2 or 4 or have a plastic wrap logo. Pet food bags, floral wrap, and candy bags are unfortunately not eligible for this program. Kindly remove receipts and cut out shipping labels and stickers prior to recycling, as they will disrupt the sorting machines.
The campaign ends on April 15th, so please continue to drop off your recyclables in the Trex bin located in the Aspen courtyard. Thank you for your support!

2022-2023 Opt-In Communication for CVUSD Advisory Council/Committee Updates
In CVUSD, parent/guardian engagement and participation is a top priority! Participation is encouraged through many organizations and activities. Several CVUSD Advisory Councils/Committees that support parent/guardian participation are listed below, with the OPTION for you to select any or all to receive communications from the school’s identified parent/guardian representative and/or from school site administration. This communication would provide information and updates to you related to the Advisory Council/Committee meetings. Please select the Council(s)/Committee(s) that you would like to receive information and updates on, approximately monthly. If you have students at multiple school sites, please submit the form for each school. Additionally, if you opted-in last year, please plan to do so annually. Importantly, should you choose to opt-in to receiving these updates, the parent/guardian representative for the Advisory Council(s)/Committees(s) and/or the administration will not share your email address with others. You also have the ability to opt-out at any time in the event you no longer wish to receive the Advisory Council/Committee information.
If you have any questions in this regard, please contact Dr. Craven at scraven@conejousd.org.

ASPEN SCIENCE FAIR- DATE CHANGE
The Science Fair will now be on April 26th!
Happy Friday all! It's just come to our attention that the Aspen Science Fair date (4/19) conflicts with the Aspen Chorus Performance that same evening. So we are going to reschedule the Aspen Science Fair for the following Wednesday, April 26th from 5-7 p.m.
We will continue to accept Science Fair proposals through Friday, March 24th due to this date change.
For those of you who have already turned in a Science Fair proposal, Student Preparation Guides will be given to your child's teacher next week for distribution.
Thank you and please reach out if you have any questions!
