HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES/FILMS- With the winter holidays being celebrated and end of 2nd quarter culminating activities please remember that if you plan to show a film in class you MUST fill in the “Request for Prior Approval For Showing Films in School” form and have it approved by Mr. Biles prior to showing it. The movie must be rated “G” or you have to have parental permission for PGs. The Movie should be related to prior or have follow-up learning objectives. For instance, Kindergarten is going to show “The Polar Express” as a grade-level. They will relate the movie to their study of shapes (make the train from shapes,) and/or include it in a writing activity “Prompt- If I went to the North Pole…). The form is on the WCPSS website under forms and in the PUE Master Folder.
REQUESTS FOR TESTING/SPECIAL EDUCATION SERVICES: If a parent requests an “IEP meeting” or anything related to special education services, please email the Administration and/or Deb Andrews. Depending on what is requested, there is a time factor involved in meeting the parents’ request. If you are unsure, let us know.
