Education Effectiveness Survey

Dear SLHS Families:

For us to continue to improve as a school district and as a school, it is important for us to understand stakeholder perceptions about the job we are doing in providing a quality education for all our children. We are seeking information through an 10-15 minute survey that is available now through February 2nd.

To access the survey, visit: EES Family Survey Link: Spanaway Lake HS

  • Choose your language preference on the opening page of the survey.
  • Select your child’s school. If you have children in multiple schools, complete one survey per child.
  • Complete the survey and click submit.

We value your input as we strive to continue to improve. Thank you for your feedback.

Family Income Survey

Dear parents,

As you know, our school offers all meals at no charge thanks to the USDA's Community Eligibility Provision.

If you haven't already, we need you to fill out the Family Income Survey as soon as possible. This will help ensure that our school continues to get the full amount of federal and state funding available, and makes sure your child is receiving all the services they are eligible for as the school must have a way to identify children from households that are at or below the federal poverty level.

You can learn more HERE.

For questions or assistance, please contact Child Nutrition Services from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 253-800-3912.

Approval or denial of transfer requests will be based on established criteria outlined in School Board policies and procedures 3131 and 3141. Parents will provide transportation for students who voluntarily attend a school outside their attendance area. COVID Reporting changes for 2023

The Washington State Department of Health still requires students and staff to report all positive Covid tests. Staff and students experiencing Covid symptoms must test for Covid-19 and isolate at home if positive. The district is now facilitating all Covid reporting in-house; the previously used Covid hotline is no longer in service. All Covid-19 positive tests must be reported by calling (253) 800-2389 or via the Covid positive reporting link, which can be found on our district website. Our Bethel Covid team will guide you on when to safely return to the building.

For more information about our Covid protocols, the reporting link, and free Covid testing locations, please visit https://www.bethelsd.org/Domain/5151
