Short and Sweet Week

Due to the holiday Monday and bad weather day Tuesday, this is a short week! Hopefully everyone stays warm and safe while enjoying the rest of the week! Weather man says Saturday is going to be beautiful! Woo hoo!

Cheerleaders Take On Keeping the Spirit

Keeping the spirit, and being in charge of raising it, is not as easy as it looks. Below two Seniors were interviewed about their experiences.

Delia Aleman: We practiced a lot harder then we ever have this year. Making finals with other competitive teams was cool. I cried. It was exciting. What I would say to future cheerleaders: Have dedication and commitment. It is a lot more than you think. For example, learning dances is like a sport. You can't quit when it gets hard. You have to keep going through it.

Gabby Hernandez: As mascot for 2 years and cheerleader 2 years my favorite memory was being able to stunt like we did and to bond with the other cheerleaders. Making the memories is really fun. The hard part: Sometimes you feel like you can't take any more drama or sore muscles. The reward: We went from last place last year to being in the finals this year! ADVICE: Don't make a big deal about little things. Live in the moment. If it won't matter in two years, don't fret about it. Do your best to make the memories while you can.

Thank you Delia and Gabby for the interviews. May the last semester of your school career at Granger give you more wonderful memories!
