DMA is celebrating Red Ribbon Week 2021! - Oct 25th -29th
October 1st – 27th is PTO Membership Drive.
The lower el class and primary class that has the most students/families signed up will have a pizza party on 10/29.

PARENTS, PLEASE CONTINUE TO SCREEN CHILDREN DAILY.
Please screen your child/children every day before coming to school by checking their temperature and determining if they have any of the following new or worsening signs or symptoms of possible COVID-19. If your child has any of these symptoms, your child should stay home, and you should contact the school and notify them of your child’s absence.
● Cough, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing ● Loss of taste or smell
● Fever of 100.4 or greater ●Nausea/vomiting or diarrhea
● Chills/repeated shaking with chills ● Muscle aches/body aches/fatigue
● Sore throat ● Headache ● Congestion or runny nose
OR if your student is a known close contact of a person who has tested positive for COVID-19.
Contact your child’s campus to notify them of your child’s absence. Staff running a fever of 100.4 or higher, or feeling ill, should stay at home and not report to work/school. Make sure to contact your healthcare provider, if needed, and notify your supervisor regarding your absence.

Examine a su hijo / a todos los días antes de venir a la escuela comprobando su temperatura y determinando si tienen alguno de los siguientes signos o síntomas nuevos o que empeoran de un posible COVID-19. Si su hijo tiene alguno de estos síntomas, debe quedarse en casa y debe comunicarse con la escuela y notificarles de la ausencia de su hijo.
● Tos, falta de aire / dificultad para respirar ● Pérdida del gusto o del olfato
● Fiebre de 100,4 o más ● Náuseas / vómitos o diarrea
● Escalofríos / temblores repetidos con escalofríos ● Dolores musculares / corporales / fatiga
● Dolor de garganta ● Dolor de cabeza ● Congestión o secreción nasal
O si su estudiante es un contacto cercano conocido de una persona que dio positivo por COVID-19.
Comuníquese con el campus de su hijo para notificarles de la ausencia de su hijo. El personal que tenga una fiebre de 100.4 o más, o que se sienta enfermo, debe quedarse en casa y no presentarse al trabajo o la escuela. Free Home Internet - Internet residencial gratuito
Students who are without home internet have the opportunity to apply for a high-speed free home internet connection for the 2021-2022 school year.
The application deadline is has been extended to Nov. 1, and families can visit https://tinyurl.com/dallasisdinternet to apply.
A home wired internet connection provides more reliable internet service than mobile hotspots.

Meal Viewer- Meal App
Food & Child Nutrition Services (FCNS) is pleased to announce "MealViewer" a new and improved platform to showcase student menus. MealViewer is packed with new features and benefits!
Meal Viewer provides:
- Convenience - Available 24/7 on the web and through our mobile-friendly app, MealViewer To Go, for your smartphone.
- Allergen Safety — Create personalized safety profiles for each student by selecting their allergens. Get alerts each time that allergen is on the menu!
- Fun Feedback — Students can rate their favorite meals.. .and receive alerts the next time their favorites are served!
Signing Up is easy!
1 . Go to schools.mealviewer.com or download the mobile app and register for a free account.
2. Create a personalized profile for you and your students by first selecting their school.
3. Next, set up your student's profile by selecting any allergens he/she has. Students can also choose their favorite meals/foods. Students will receive notifications every time any of their favorite meals are served, and any time that any of their allergens are in any food on that day's menu.

- If you would like to send snacks to your student's class, all snacks must be store bought, individually prepackaged, Smart Snacks, as outlined in the flyer below.
