Here is everything you need to know about the Franklin Central Band program right now.

We are excited to announce our upcoming band “concert” events taking place the week of November 9th. See the schedule below for information concerning the specific band class. Each will have a dress rehearsal, time learning with a renowned clinician, and a performance all rolled into one fun evening of music making!

The agenda for each evening:

Rehearsal from 5:30pm - 7:30pm, performance at 7:45pm

Monday, November 9th - Wind Ensemble (period 5)

Tuesday, November 10th - Wind Symphony (period 4)

Wednesday, November 11th - Symphonic Band (period 3)

Thursday, November 12th - Concert Band (period 2)

An audience will be allowed and most likely limited to 2 attendees per performer. Exact details concerning the performance location and audience limitations will be available the week of November 2nd.

Students are asked to dress nicely for the evening, but DO NOT have to be in official “concert attire.”

Please join us on Thursday, October 29th at 8:00pm for the second "Family Night at the Spooky Stadium". This is the final opportunity for families that are not able to attend the football games to see the show performed. Students are encouraged to dress in their Halloween costumes that do not interfere with their practice and performing. Parents can dress up too and dress in layers!

On Friday, we will serve Sloppy Joes and Mac and Cheese of every variety before the football game. Please let our food lead, Danelle Grimes dcva896@yahoo.com, know if there are any dietary concerns. Our volunteers will be following safety protocols defined by school food services. Food will be placed on plates by volunteers with clean hands wearing gloves and a mask. Students will drink from their water jugs. This meal is only for students. Parents may also drop off food for their student at 5:30pm if desired.

The band will be performing in the pregame show and during the game in addition to performing at halftime.

3:30-5:30pm Practice

5:30pm - Eat

6:40pm - March to the stadium

7:00pm - Pre-game show

Halftime – Perform “Any Way the Wind Blows”

After halftime, (band will stay for the rest of the game)

~9:45pm – Dismissal

Percussion Symphony auditions will be held on November 3rd, 5th, 17th, & 19th from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Students should report to the band room for further instructions.

There will be a parent meeting to discuss the details of the 2020 season. More information will be available soon.
