Socktober was a hit! Thank you!
During the week of October 22, the kindergartners and fifth graders sponsored SOCKTOBER, a service project to collect warm socks for the homeless. The students of SPB collected an AMAZING 417 pairs of socks to be distributed by Deacon Joe to those in need. The K and 5 buddies met this past Tuesday to estimate and count the socks, and then they made little "love" notes to include with each pair. We hope that this will help to warm the feet and hearts of those less fortunate. Thank you to our kindergartners, fifth graders, and their teachers for leading this service project!
Junior High Pumpkin Decorating Contest
Our Junior High students showed their creative, artistic, and clever selves during the annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest. Faculty, staff, and visitors voted on this year's entries and here are the results:

Grades 5-6 Parents/Guardians-Come On In!
Parents/Guardians in Grades 5-6: Have you taken the opportunity to sign up to volunteer for playground/lunchroom supervision? With the busy holiday season upon us, we wanted to give you ample time to choose days that best fit your schedule! There are several spots open in November and only two spots open in December.
We are asking that each family (mom, dad, grandma, etc.) choose at least two days to volunteer for the month of November for 6th Grade or December for 5th grade, each time slot being 11:00-1:00.
This is a great way for you to interact with your child and his/her classmates during the school day! Lunch/Recess Volunteers should arrive to school at 11:00 and check in at the office. Duties will include supervising students at recess, escorting students to the cafeteria from recess, and supervising in the cafeteria. Volunteers will be with one teacher and two "core" volunteers each day to help direct. Remember that after your two volunteer time slots, you are done for the year, as each month is assigned to a different grade.
Thank you again for your time and service to the students and teachers of SPB! Simply click on the grade level link to pick a time convenient for you: Grade 6 or Grade 5.
We offer our sincere Thank You to the parents and grandparents who volunteered during the month of October:
Mr. Al Speyer, Mrs. Nancy Delsander, Mrs. Beth Carlton, Mrs. Ashley Lovequist, Mrs. Melissa Stupica, Mrs. Amy Goff, Mrs. Allison Spinos, Mr. Dan Reginelli, Mrs. Darci Paulett, Mrs. Lisa Smiley, Mrs. Deborah Barker, Mrs. Tania Jarc, Dr. Mihaly Kotrebai, Mrs. Chrissy Lawless, Mr. Bill Guzzo, Mrs. Monica Bickar, Mrs. Chris Sutton, Dr. Andrea Ujvari, Dr. Joan Rothenberg, Mr. Bryan Bickar, Mrs. Kelly Keefe and Mr. Matt Keefe.
