Thank you to everyone who attended the Bresnahan Fall Fest on Sunday! It was so wonderful to see families coming together to enjoy our school community. Special thank you to the PTO for putting this together and making the day special for everyone involved.
Exploring with Owls
Mass Audubon visited our 3rd graders as part of their animal adaptation science unit. Students learned about the behaviors and adaptations of our local owls and had the chance to dissect an owl pellet.
And speaking of owls… Kindergarteners got to experience live owls in school through the Windows on Wildlife program. Thank you to the PTO for sponsoring this program!
Costume Parade on Tuesday 10/31
Parents and guardians are invited to attend our outdoor Costume Parade on Tuesday 10/31 at 8:50 am! Please stand behind cones set up along the rider and walker areas.
Students will start the day with our school-wide parade. Please send your student to school in their costume and make sure they have something else to wear/comfortable clothes underneath to wear for the remainder of the school day.
When preparing for this exciting event, please be mindful of costume choices. Students need to be able to move/walk on their own (for example, some students struggle to walk on their own in inflatable costumes). We also ask that students refrain from wearing full face masks and costumes with weapons.
We will have a parade alternative in the library for students who do not wish to participate in the parade. Please email your classroom teacher directly if you would like to opt-out of the parade.
You are Invited to Family Math Night!
Honoring Veterans
On Tuesday, November 7th from 8:45 - 9:15, we will host an assembly to honor our Veterans. If anyone in your family (parent, grandparent, or other close family member) is a Veteran, they are welcome to attend the assembly. Our students would love to sing to you and thank you for your service. Please RSVP on this Google Doc we can plan seating for our guests. If you have any questions, please reach out to our school librarian, Renee Ames (rames@newburyport.k12.ma.us).
Our veterans and guests do not need to go through the CORI and Fingerprinting process but will need to sign in through the Main Office/Door 1.

Thank you to our volunteers who packaged over 250 orders and staffed the pick-up events! Our volunteer-run process keeps costs low for families. And thank you to Newburyport families. We raised over $7k for Newburyport schools!
