Be a part of our religious colony today!!
Our Founder
In 1635, Thomas Hooker founded our colony. He founded it for political and religious freedom. He was the leader of the colony.
Making Money
In the colony, people fished, whaled, and made ships to make money. They would have farmed, but soil was poor. They still planted pumpkins, rye, squash, and beans.

Guaranteed to give you religious rights!
Education
Boys ages six to eight went to a “Dame School” in which they learned reading, spelling, and prayers. When the boys were older, they went to a Latin grammar school to prepare for college. Girls were taught at home. They learned mainly household skills.
