ALPINE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
JANUARY 2021
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Happy New Year!
I hope everyone had an enjoyable winter break and enjoyed special memories with family and friends.
Whether your child is a hybrid or virtual student, January is a great time to make positive resolutions which will help ensure a successful school day for your student.
Make sure your child gets plenty of rest each night - studies show students who do not get enough sleep have a difficult time paying attention in class.
Read, read, read! Success in school depends, in large part, on a student's ability to read and comprehend. Please share a book with your child every day!
Working together we can make learning in 2021 a fun and exciting adventure!
Be Safe!

Thank you.
CHARACTER EDUCATION - CITIZENSHIP
This month we will focus on the Character Education trait CITIZENSHIP. If you are a good citizen, you work really hard to be a good member of your community. Good citizens care about our country and our neighbors. They follow rules and laws. They take care of the world around them and try really hard to do what is right. I posted a video on ways to be a good citizen om my Google Classroom.
For the month of January, our Choose Love theme is Gratitude.
Stay well!
Mrs. Heather Yanoff, Guidance Counselor
