Alternative energy sources

Geothermal
Definition: Geothermal energy is the heat from the Earth. It's clean and sustainable. Resources of geothermal energy range from the shallow ground to hot water and hot rock found a few miles beneath the Earth's surface, and down even deeper to the extremely high temperatures of molten rock called magma.
Solar
Definition: Solar energy is radiant light and heat from the Sun harnessed using a range of ever-evolving technologies such as solar heating, photostatic, solar thermal energy, solar architecture and artificial photosynthesis.
More types of energy
Wind
Definition: A wind turbine is a device that converts kinetic energy from the wind into electrical power. The term appears to have migrated from parallel hydroelectric technology (rotary propeller). The technical description for this type of machine is an Aeroflot-powered generator.
Tidal
definition: Tidal power, also called tidal energy, is a form of hydro power that converts the energy of tides into useful forms of power, mainly electricity. Although not yet widely used, tidal power has potential for future electricity generation. Tides are more predictable than wind energy and solar power.
Wave
definition: Wave power is the transport of energy by ocean surface waves, and the capture of that energy to do useful work – for example, electricity generation, water desalination, or the pumping of water (into reservoirs). A machine able to exploit wave power is generally known as a wave energy converter (WEC).
