A Note from the Principal
Lion Nation,
I had the honor of joining a group of principals from many districts statewide on Wednesday and Thursday. The idea of this institute is to ultimately share and learn principal’s and school’s best practices. I want to mention how proud I am of MHS and MISD. MISD does a great job of setting up teachers for success by providing us world class facilities and educational support. Our job at MHS is to take the tools, facilities and support and transfer it to great teaching for our students. Many districts do not have the community support we do here in McKinney. Please continue finding ways to support our teachers and our great school.
I have counted 11 students at MHS that are taller than me. These are some big young men. I mention this because this is one of the differences I have noticed between my middle school days and my current high school days. Another difference I have seen is the number of student leaders we have on our campus. Kids these days are leading many many groups on our campus. These leadership skills are never measured by any assessment required by our state. Please know that our school is designed to educate and grow each child through academic and social opportunities.
Go Lions,
Alan Arbabi
