JUNIORS, CLASS OF 2018
In early January, the juniors received a copy of their score report from the PSAT they took in October of 2016. The purpose of the PSAT and the score report is to help the student prepare for the SAT. In addition, students who take the PSAT have access to the Khan Academy official SAT practice site. The Khan Academy offers a free and personalized on line practice prep that is tailored to each of the student’s strengths and weaknesses. For more information and to sign up for the Khan Academy SAT practice site, please visit: satpractice.org
SAT/ACT
It’s hard to believe that the Class of 2018 will be applying to college later this year! The SAT/ACT, along with the six semester high school transcript, is widely used as a major criterion for college admission.
Once the juniors return to school in August, it will be time to start submitting their college applications. Thus, the reason it is so important to for juniors to have taken the SAT/ACT.
The SAT will be given again in March, May and June. The ACT will be given in April and June.
Registration and more information about the tests can be found on line at: collegeboard.org or at act.org
Juniors are in the process of reviewing their transcripts and choosing their courses for the senior year. Registration for senior year classes should be completed by the first of February.
