PTA/Student Council Holiday Drive (Dec. 5-9th)

We are collecting NEW Women's & Men's size hats, gloves, scarfs and socks.

They will be donated to the Rare Breed.

Reading: This week we will be continuing to make inferences!! We have been using clues to figure something out from the story. We have learned that the author might not come right out and say that something is happening or getting ready to happen, but we can use clues to make inferences. I also have several holiday books that we will be reading together in class this week! In addition, we will continue reading rotations for book clubs.

Math: Chapter 5 will continue to strengthen our skills when completing 2-Digit by 2-Digit multiplication and estimation. Chapter 5 is a fast unit, and we are quickly approaching the test already!!! We will review tomorrow and test on Tuesday.

Science: Exploring circuits is on the agenda for this week.

Writing: Finishing our BIOPOEM and ACROSTIC poem will be on our list of things to do for poetry. We will also explore how to do a Couplet, Shape Poem, Haiku, Cinquain, and Diamante. We will collect the poems to be sent home before Winter Break.n:)
