Declaration Sentence

That's me.

I am a statement.

The sole purpose of a declarative sentence is to give information.

Possibly the most common sentence type in the English language, I am used when you want to make a bold statement or a simple fact.

In a declarative sentence, the subject normally precedes the verb.

I end with a period.

All sentences begin with a capital letter and end with punctuation.
Punctuate me with a period.


Here are examples of declarative sentences.

Fifth grade is fun.

I can't wait to see what we will learn this year.

It is my responsibility to do my work.
