Framingham Energy Assistance Fair

MetroWest residents are invited to attend an upcoming Energy Assistance Fair to learn about available energy and cost saving resources. The Energy Assistance Fairs will provide “one-stop-shopping” to sign up for these programs, and representatives from Eversource, the South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC), as well as other local nonprofits and groups will be present to help residents learn about their options. The first event will take place at the SMOC Offices (7 Bishop St.) in Framingham on Tuesday, January 31st from 4 – 7 PM.

Representatives will also be available to share information and answer questions about other programs and services available, which may include property tax assistance, food assistance, social services and municipal electricity aggregation.

Reminder: In order to play outside in the snow, students are required to wear snow gear including coats, hats, gloves, boots, and snow pants. Please label all items with your child's first and last name. If you are in need of any apparel, please reach out to us; we are able to help.

Allergy Friendly Classrooms

  • We ask that snacks (that are often eaten in the classroom) do not include nuts or nut butters. All classroom spaces at King this year will be allergy friendly rooms. Students are, however, allowed to have nuts and nut butters as part of their lunches in the cafeteria.
  • In the cafeteria each classroom has 2 tables. One is labeled allergy friendly. We ask that any students that have nut or nut butter allergies sit at these tables; we ask that any students who have nut or nut butters as part of their lunch sit at the other tables.
  • Students have been introduced to this in the cafeteria already, and will be reminded by their classroom teachers again.
