September 4th REMEMBER NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY
Professional Learning Communities Dr. Martha Dodson from APSRC spent a day meeting with each of our grade level Professional Learning Communities. Dr. Dodson is an expert in the process of collaborative team meetings. She will be training our staff throughout the year. This initative will strenghten data interpretation, grow instructional strategies, and help to personalize learning for all students. | Update on Arts Building We have successfully relocated all preforming arts classes to the K-6 Arts Center. Mr. Skelton and Mr. Carethers moved the dance floor. We transferred the pianos. Students have stages for performances. We are so proud to have this space where teachers and students will be able to collaborate and practice together to showcase their talents. | Fall Testing Our first round of testing is coming up. Originally, I announced that next week was only K-2 testing. We decided to test all grades next week, September 6th - 8th. Please make sure to have your students at school during those days. Remember to make sure students are well rested and eat a nutrious breakfast. i-Ready is a diagnostic assessment that measures what students can do and provides guidance on ways to support their learning. Teachers will be sharing data with parents at Fall Conferences. |

Located in Rogers, Arkansas, we are an open-enrollment public charter school offering fine arts education to K–12 students. We are the second oldest and one of the largest charter schools in the state. Our goal is to make Arkansas Arts Academy a nationally recognized institution that will draw students from all over Northwest Arkansas, the state, and the region.
