Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
We have amazing teachers and staff! This group of dedicated individuals works hard to individualize instruction and meet the needs of all our students. They encourage and challenge your children to be the best they can be. This work makes such a positive difference in our world!
Thank you to all who sent cards, brought in treats, and let our teachers know their work is important and valued! We have the Best of the Best!
The school year is quickly coming to a close. We have a number of special events in the next two weeks. Please make sure to check our website to keep up to date on all of your child's special activities.
Pray for dry weather. It looks like our playground might be installed next week! I can't wait to see the kids enjoying the equipment!
The Shamrock Shuffle is Saturday. We still need a few volunteers to help out along the race course and keep our runners headed in the right direction where turns are required. This also lets you enjoy the nice weather and cheer everyone on! Please call the office at 319-277-6781 if you are available to help or click that category on the signup.
Blessings,
Lynette Hackett
Principal
P.S.: We are still accepting runner registrations tomorrow. Just sent the registration fee of $13 and the signed waiver to school. Shirts are not guaranteed but we do have a few.

FAITH

EXCELLENCE
Third and fourth grade students learned a lot about the business world while running their own companies and selling products. They learned about supply and demand, appropriate pricing, and of course good work ethic. Students earned "Wheelan Bucks" by doing specific jobs during the month. They used this money to purchase products from businesses run by their classmates. What a great hands-on experience!

SERVICE
Mrs. Lind's class's service learning project received a boost from WalMart. These students wrote letters to businesses asking for games to establish a board game check-out system for our school families. The grade 7 and 8 students want to promote positive family interactions through playing board games together. Thank you, students, for using your leadership skills in promoting the importance of family time. An individual has also contributed games to their cause.
PS-GRADE 8 LAST DAY OF SCHOOL ACTIVITY!
CPTO is back this year with after school at Palmers Family Fun Center. 3:30-6:30 PM. $15 a person payable at the door at Palmer's. Families must supervise their children.

You will also be able to sign your students up to participate in activities before and during the game. Enjoy baseball, food, beverages, and fireworks with your friends from St. Patrick!
Thank you to our parents for hosting an amazing LEGO League Showcase last Friday. What excitement the students had in sharing their projects.
