An Evening with the Board of Education

The Board of Education will host “An Evening with the Board” on Thursday, November 7 , 7 - 8:30 p.m. at the Glen Ellyn Public Library. This is an opportunity to engage with the Board and ask questions related to board business. All are welcome!

Hadley Orchestra Performs at String Fest Tonight

The Hadley String Orchestra performs at String Fest with Glencrest, Marquardt and Westlake and Jay Stream Middle Schools tonight, Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Glenbard West High School. The concert repertoire includes: Forest Hills Folk Suite by Bob Phillips, Creatures by Brian Balmages and GPS by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart arranged by Richard Meyer. Special guest narrator is Superintendent of Glenbard Township School District #87 Dr. David Larson.

Glenbard West, East and South High Schools perform as well. A special thank you goes out to all four high school orchestra directors for conducting and working with the junior high students. Thank you to Mr. Bill Ortega from Glenbard West, Mr. Tim Fawkes from Glenbard East, Mr. Steve Govertsen from Glenbard South, and Mr. Scott Grigoletto from Glenbard North High Schools. " It is wonderful to see hundreds of string players all in one room performing. This great learning experience makes it so memorable for our students," said Hadley Junior High Orchestra Director Georgia Alemis.

Thank You District 41 Parent Teacher Associations (PTA)

At the most recent regular meeting of the District 41 Board of Education, the Board celebrated the amazing support provided by the PTAs across the district. A video highlighting the Churchill PTA Run-A-Thon was featured at the Board meeting as well. Watch the video below:

Benjamin Franklin School Celebrates Birthday of 100 Year Old Mrs. Guglielmi

Benjamin Franklin 2nd grade teacher Lisa Moon’s grandmother recently turned 100 years old! Ms. Josephine Guglielmi sat down with the kids and answered questions about her 100 years of life. Students worked on math and literacy activities related to 100 years as a way to advance the learning connected to this special visitor. Happy 100th Birthday, Ms. Guglielmi!

Hadley 6th Grade Students Engage with NASA on “Let It Glide” Challenge

Hadley 6th grade STEM Exploration students have been working on NASA's Glenn Engineering Design Challenge 'Let It Glide' which requires students to turn a shoebox into a glider. Glenbard Parent Series Features Parenting Expert
