Extra Clothes

Winter is here to stay for awhile!

Please make sure there are plenty of extra warm socks, shirts, pants, etc.

Warm outerwear is easiest if kept as school. Even if it is not snowing, the wind gets mighty cold up here!

  • Waterproof gloves
  • Waterproof coat (of course can go back and forth!)
  • Warm hats
  • Waterproof boots
  • Snow Pants

We have plenty of resources available, so if you would like us to hook you up, please let us know!

On top of the normal fun messy and wet activities we do in class, we go outside almost every day. Being prepared for mountain living includes having warm waterproof clothing available anywhere you go outside your home.

Big picture

Classroom Parties: Please watch for more information from your child's teacher.

Costumes

Please DO NOT send your child in costumes that are "bloody", scary, violent or political.

We will still go outside and provide fun activities, please send your child in a costume that is both warm and can get "dirty".

Our staff will be busy teaching and caring for students. Unfortunately, we will not be able to assist children with complicated costumes. For full day students, you are welcome to come put their costume on before the festivities or send and easy costume your child can put on themselves. We can definitely assist with buttons, zippers or ties. 😎

Please reach out if you have any questions!

Preschool Illness & Mask Update

Yay, this past week we saw and increase in student attendance!

Thank you for keeping your children home if the had any symptoms of being sick or not feeling well. That was a huge help.

Although our children are getting back to good health, this past week our staff continued to battle common illnesses. None of our staff have tested positive for COVID, but we've been running bare bones This team has been incredible jumping in whenever and wherever was needed for our students!💚

I'd like to reassess our health status as a preschool at the end of this week.

In the event both students and staff are on an upswing and healthy, next week masks will be optional for children only.

Adults will continue to wear masks in the building.

I cannot guarantee this will last until the end of the year. If positive cases rise again, then we will go back to wearing masks for a little while again.

Please continue to keep your children out of school if they are not feeling well or if there is an illness spreading in your family.

Continue to have a plan B. We will continue to send students home if they show signs of illness at school. Please have a friend or family available who can help in the even we need to call. Thanks so much!

If a family member tests positive - keep your child home quarantined.

South Park Schools Homecoming Parade

Homecoming Preschool Style!

We will have our children watch the parade! If you would like to come by early to either pick-up your child early or to join us, feel free!

If you would like to walk in the parade with your preschooler (or pull in a wagon), we'd love to put together some Mini Miners. Please contact Heather, if this is something you'd like to do!

A Note From Mr. Sellers, Middle and High School Principal

MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR HOMECOMING 2021!!

We are very excited to announce our 2021 Homecoming for Thursday, October 28 and Friday, October 29!
