Mahatma Gandhi

Mahatma Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869. Gandhi became a leader in a congress against the British Rule in India. Gandhi studied law to go against, the British Rule in India. Gandhi was known for being a non-violent man and for leading non-violent protests.


Gandhi was arrested over three times for "Public Unrest Conspiracies". Gandhi led to the independence of India by his protests. Gandhi provided many peace speeches and independence speeches. Gandhi was assassinated in 1948 by 3 point blank shots to his chest.

2500 B.C.

Diwali Is known as the "Festival Of Lights" In India. It is held during the months of October to November. It is a yearly event held for Hinduism. The festival talks about how light is winning over darkness. On Diwali, many people dress up in beautiful clothes that represent everything.
