Principal's Message to Hornet Families for the week of September 7th, 2021

Happy Labor day fantastic family members, I hope everyone has an opportunity to spend some time with their loved ones. We have now completed 3 amazing weeks of school and are looking forward to the fourth week. As a campus we are still focused on posting learning objectives, language objectives, and success criteria in classes. These are best practices that assure each student knows what he/she should be learning for the day and allows them to see steps of completion along the way. It has been great seeing our hornets able to participate in athletics this year. This week we have our 8th grade team at home vs Murchison Middle School @ 6p. We will also take pictures on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Students will take pictures on the days they have Science classes. We have such great parental support on our campus, so before I go I want to give a special thanks to our amazing PTA and some families that have helped us start this year strongly.

Special thanks to:

- Kristine Polland and Emily Hayes for volunteering to get our cheer program back up and running

- The Carroll, Rocap, Reimer, Kilday, Burris, Mengoli, Alexander, Castaño, Windler, Bell, Scott, Rocher, Gormin, Peterson, Jeter, Downie, Payne, Patel, Perez, Schuneman, Rhee, and Fenton families for the table and umbrella donations at our school

- Jen Loving and the PTA for the water donation as we await the installation of our bottle fillers

Secret Pal Program is back for the 2021-22 school year!

The Kealing PTA Secret Pal Program was created to help our hard-working teachers and staff feel a bit more appreciated throughout the year. The guidelines are general, but suggestions are to provide snacks, treats, small gifts, supplies or support to show our appreciation. There are 3 planned 'drop' dates to deliver gifts/treats: November, February, and April. Reminders will be sent out prior to drop dates. Please remember, Pals should be kept a secret!
