Important Dates for the 20-21 School Year

May 21: No Classes - Teacher In-Service

May 31: Memorial Day - No Classes

June 9 - 8th Grade Ceremony

June 10: Last day of school LMS; FUN DAY

June 11: Last day of school and Graduation for High School/ Retrospectives

Last Week of School Details

Conferences (all day) on Friday, June 4 and the afternoons of Monday and Tuesday, June 7 - 8. Additional High School conferences will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, June 9 and 10.

8th Grade Moving Up Ceremony: Wednesday, June 9 at 2:00 pm (following the 8th-grade lunch and yearbook signing) (Immediate family only; event will be live-streamed for extended family and friends)

Last Day for LS/MS: Fun Day! Thursday, June 10; HALF DAY with 12:20 pm dismissal.

High School Last Day: Friday, June 11

Final Project Presentations: 11:00 am

Family Picnic: 12:00 pm

Graduation Ceremony: 1:00 pm (Immediate family only; event will be live-streamed for extended family and friends)

All School Dress Code

All students are expected to arrive at school in their cohort-colored clothing.

The full outer layer must be of their cohort color.

There is now some mixing on the campus between divisions so it is CRITICAL this guideline is followed.

Students who do not follow the dress code will receive a call home and have lunch and recess in the office area. As shared in previous messages, low cost options can be found a the link below.

High School: Updates & Field Experience

Tomorrow's Field Experience will be at the Natural Bridges State Beach in Santa Cruz.

Chartwell will not provide lunch nor transportation for this field experience; we encourage carpooling with other families.

Drop Off: 9:30 AM

Pick Up: 1:00 PM


  • Parking will be at the Natural Bridges Visitor Center, parking passes will be available for students driving themselves.
  • Students being dropped off: Proceed into the park with the Chartwell sign displayed on your dashboard to enter into the park. (Students will receive this sign on Thursday afternoon.) Families dropping off must depart within 20 minutes of arrival to avoid fees.


  • Weather is unpredictable, wearing layers will keep you warm and cool
  • Masks are required
  • Students are expected to follow all safety protocols; student(s) unable to meet this expectation will not be able to attend or will be sent home


  1. LAYERS!
  2. Cohort shirt
  3. Long pants or shorts
  4. Tennis shoes AND sandals or water shoes
  5. Hat with visor for sun protection/sunscreen
  6. Sunglasses


  1. Day pack or backpack (to hold extra shoes, lunch, etc)
  2. Face mask
  3. Lunch
  4. Water bottle
  5. Towel


  • Arriving on-site, proceed down the driveway to the parking lot to meet with the rest of the High School. Mr. Shannon will be your first point of contact on-site.


  • Arriving on-site, proceed down the driveway to the same parking lot, remain in your vehicle until your student is dismissed.

Finally, there will not be any Friday afternoon activities on campus. Mountain biking, basketball, and painting are canceled.
