Central America: Natural Disasters
Created by Morgan Markus
The Problem
Many countries of Central America rest on the edges of tectonic plates. Therefore, a surplus of seismic activity takes place. An earthquake could happen, or a volcano could erupt any second!
Volcano Erupting
People of Central America may perish or get injured from these disasters.
Major Earthquake
Too many natural disasters can cause citizens to migrate to safer regions.
Damage After Earthquake
Countries may be stunted in economic growth due to always having to rebuild. This lack of growth can cause the citizens to bring in less income.
The Solution
Preventing natural disasters may be impossible in some cases, but there are solutions to help with the impact of natural disasters. A proactive plan is good, stored food or money would come in handy during times of need. There should also be investment in retrofitting buildings, controlling the population, educating the people, etc.
- Less people will get killed/injured in some cases.
- Countries in Central America may be able to grow more
- People of Central America can be more educated and feel safer.
