TTESS Canvas Course
Each campus must CREATE a new "shell" or empty course and name it using the convention 2018-2019 TTESS Teacher Overview: Campus Name.
Then, GRAB the district 2018-2019 TTESS Teacher Overview course from the commons and IMPORT it into the new "shell" or empty course you just created.
ENROLL all new teachers and teachers as they are hired to your campus. You can do this by sending them the course link.
Add me as an instructor and I will help trouble shoot throughout the year if needed!
About the Course:
Anyone can complete the TTESS Overview course; modules can be completed in any sequence or alone as a refresher.
New teachers and teachers new to your campus must complete the course within 10 classroom days of being in the classroom or by August 31st.
Student Growth Measures Canvas Course in Commons!
Each campus must GRAB the course from the commons in the same way as you did the TTESS Teacher Overview.
First create a "shell" or empty course and name it using the convention 2018-2019 Student Growth Measures: Campus Name.
Then IMPORT the Growth Measures course from the Commons into your shell.
All teachers must be enrolled in this course as it is required by TTESS to have a student growth measure. You can enroll them by sending them the course link.
About the Course:
Per TEA requirements related to TTESS, all K-12 teachers in the district must track student growth on at least one measure throughout the school year. If teachers have multiple preps, they can choose one course in which to track student growth.
Completion of the Student Growth Measure course will guide educators through the process of creating a goal linked to student outcomes, choosing a measure and metric to measure, how to track growth over the year, and how to share key components with their principal.
Note:
This is an ongoing course with assignments due throughout the year that coincide with TTESS deadlines. If updates are made to the original district course, you will see an alert at the top of your dashboard. Please update your course if you see this alert!
