G.A.T.E. Nominations

Beginning October 20, 2021, referrals will be accepted for the Goose Creek CISD Gifted and Talented (G/T) Program. With the exception of kindergarten students, referrals for the G/T program are open to students who are currently enrolled in GCCISD. If you would like your child assessed for the G/T program, please click on the GT referral link below or contact your GT Campus Contact. Completed referral forms are due no later than November 18, 2021. In addition, during the fall/spring semester, all kindergarten students will be screened for the G/T program. Therefore, referral packets for kindergarten students are not necessary as all kindergarten students will be assessed for the G/T program.

Fall Scholastic Book Fair November 1 - 5!

Students, our Fall Book Fair is right around the corner! There are many books to choose from and something for everyone: adventure, sci-fi, best selling and "laugh out loud" stories! Classes will shop during their regularly scheduled library time during the school day.


Parents, e-wallet is the easiest and safest way to give your child money for the book fair. Once you set up your child's account, you can send the link to family & friends who would like to contribute. Any money left on the accoutn can be used on the Scholastic website or save uintil the next book fair. $10 During the 10th Month!

Does your child have a missing or lost library book? For this month only, you can clear your child's library account with a payment of $10 per book during the month of October! Contact Mrs. Mitchell if you have any questions concerning library books or fines. Cash or money order accepted in the front office. Make payable to Highlands Elementary School.
