Matt's Monday Memo
September 3, 2019
Good morning, Staff,
Friday was valuable day for us as a staff. We began with community time with breakfast and Launch awards. I am always moved by how our colleagues articulate the value they place in our honorees and the impact they have on our school. We moved to our CLT and PD sessions that challenged us to be better intentioned with our assessments to create greater lasting value in our work. After lunch we engaged in safety training--thanks for your patience and attention in meeting that professional obligation. I hope you had time over the long weekend to gather your thoughts and gear up for September.
Regards,
Matt

Reminders/Announcements
- Certified and administrative staff: It is extremely important that you use AESOP anytime you will be out for a full day or a part of the day. This is a clear expectation for the entire district.
- Remember that you are required to enter your morning attendance prior to 11:00 a.m.
- Reminder to keep your SIS Gradebook up-to-date.
- Teachers—the 3:30 p.m. activity bus is only for VICC students. Local students do not have an activity bus option.
The WGSD Foundation will be available for a Q & A session regarding the entire grant application process on September 4 from 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm at the Service Center. This is a great opportunity for teachers to talk to the Grant Committee about any ideas they have, provide feedback, offer suggestions, or brainstorm ideas.
In addition, as a reminder, Preliminary Grant Applications are due on October 7. All information regarding the Grant Application process can be found on our website at www.wgsdfoundation.org
