Howdy!
So, notice this is a pretty darn cool newsletter. You're welcome.
Second, this has basically everything you'll need to know for quite some time, or until the next one of these is needed, so read up!

Rehearsal Schedule
For rehearsals and stuff. I originally planned on calling specific scenes for different days, but due to having just over a month (no pressure, haha) I think it would be wise to call everyone to rehearsal. I promise I won't be wasting your time! All of the rehearsals listed below are at Vero Voce. If more rehearsals are needed, I will be reaching out to you guys about it and they will either be at Vero Voce or at my house (if it is a super emergency).
I put the first rehearsal below so you can get the address and directions there if you don't know how.
- October 3rd, 12-3pm
- October 10th, 12-2pm
- October 17th, 12-2pm
- October 24th, 7-9pm
- November 1st, 6-8pm
Event Information
Our First Rehearsal
This is our first rehearsal! This will be a line read-through, discussion of the script and characters, and all that jazz. Please bring a printed copy of the script, something to write with, and some extra paper to jot down some notes and whatnot.
When?
Saturday, Oct 3, 2015, 12:00 PM
Where?
Vero Voce School of Performing Arts, State Avenue, Saint Charles, IL, United States
Tech Week
I am not solid on the hours of this at all, but it starts November 8th and runs until the 12th of November. Keep these times open and let me know of conflicts (for tech and other rehearsals) ASAP.
Costumes
As far as the script is given, the costumes are VERY basic. In the descriptions it gives of your characters, it tells you your costume. If you need help putting it together, let me know! I'm more than happy to help.
Now, Kayla, you are probably laughing at this. Yes, we WILL have an elaborate costume for you, but we'll talk about that separately.
Props
Same information as costumes, if you need help, let me know. Otherwise it is listed in the script for your character. Lucky us, they are pretty simple in this one act.
Lines
Your lines (oh pretty, pretty please) should be memorized by the 10th of October. I'd like you guys to be completely off book by the 24th. So there will be calling of lines on the 10th and 17th, so no major freak outs please!
Performances
These are going to be November 13, 14, 15 at Vero Voce. This one act will be performed in a compilation of other one acts written by local playwrights in the New Playwright Festival. Audience members attending will need to buy tickets, but you guys that are in the show are obviously good without one.
One slight catch,
Due to a previous commitment, I will NOT be there for opening night. As hard as I have tried to get around it, I will not be able to be there. However, I will be there cheering you guys on the other two nights, as well as throughout this whole process.
Let's Get Down to Business
Not to defeat the huns, necessarily, but this is just as exciting. I am so glad to have you guys in my cast of the first show I'm ever directing. This is a huge deal for me, and I hope you guys are just as excited to get started as I am. Work on your lines, what you expect for your character (rough outline, we'll do character work together) and anything else you want to do, because it's a free country, and I'll see you Saturday!
Call Me, Beep Me
If you wanna reach me, go right ahead! Email, text, call, FaceTime, Facebook message... I've got it. Ask me all of your questions if you still have any. Voice any concerns. Rant about how good these cupcakes look in the background and how frustrating it is that you aren't currently eating them. Whatever it is, I'm here for ya!
