Forging elite energy start-ups
Over the past 30 years, we've seen a technology transformation across consumer and industrial markets. We are entering the fourth industrial revolution where everything's connected, but the energy sector needs to catch up.
What exciting new technologies do we need to develop? What innovations can we adapt and adopt from other industries? How do we make the energy sector thrive in the 21st century and beyond?
TechX is the answer - we're here to accelerate the future...
The UK Government has set a target of'net-zero' greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. We now need to accelerate the transition to make the UK continental shelf a net-zero carbon basin as well as ensuring we maximise economic recovery for future energy security.
New tech is a fundamental part of this, but technology start-up's face unprecedented odds to succeed, particularly those trying to break into the energy sector, with a failure rate of around 90%. The Oil & Gas Technology Centre TechX Pioneer programme aims to change that.
Our world class offering has been proven to accelerate early stage start-ups by 4-5 years on their path to commercial success in the UK energy sector.
Programme Elements:
A unique funding model of up to £100,000 with no equity take or payback required – all IP is retained by the start-up.
A four-month, full-time programme based at our amazing facilities in Aberdeen, United Kingdom.
Start-Up and Innovator Visa endorsement for international companies.
Unprecedented access to major oil and gas companies and their facilities to validate your technology and your business.
Expert mentors and global partners to help rapidly develop and validate your solution and business.
Investor readiness skills and training.
Business scale-up and field trial support through our TechX Plus incubator free of charge for 12 months upon completion of the accelerator.
Access to a diverse range of investors.
