ACT Achievement
Parents,
We are so proud of the hard work your students have put into taking the ACT exam and want to celebrate their achievement by putting their name and score on our special ACT board, located in the Commons at Bowling Green High. We have already put many of our student names up and welcome you to stop by and take a look at your child’s name. If, however, your child has taken the ACT and we don’t have their name up yet, please let us know. Email William.King@bgreen.kyschools.us or your child’s counselor and we’ll take care of the rest. Congratulations!

Congrats Jack Eason
Congratulation to Jack Eason, c/o 2018 on this fantastic accomplishment.
Because of Jack’s hard work, he was 1 of 49 students (out of 2700 applicants)
to receive the Johnson Scholarship at Washington and Lee University. This
scholarship provides at least full tuition, room and board, and allows students
to graduate debt-free.
Jack - you make BGHS and BGISD VERY PROUD!

Purple Teen Angel Program
It's time once again for our Purple Teen Angel Program. We have a list of BGHS students who are in need of sponsors for Christmas. If you and your family, church, or civic organization would be interested, let me know if you prefer to shop for male/female. I will then email you the sizes and a small wishlist.
Here are some guidelines:
1. Please wrap new gifts
2. Indicate Code # on packages
3. There is not a minimum/maximum amount.
4. Please deliver to BGHS YSC by Wednesday, December 12.
Let me know if you have any questions and thank you for supporting our BGHS students!
Winter Ball
Mark your calendars. BGHS Winter Ball will be held on Saturday, January 5th, in the commons. The theme this year will be Roaring 20’s so Gatsby or semi-formal attire is appropriate. Tickets will be $5 per person.
Playing Soccer? Sign Up For Weightlifting!
Weightlifting
Winter 2018-19
Open to all guys interested in playing next year who are currently grades 8-11 in BGISD.
Must have a current physical on file.
Players must have rides waiting on them at the scheduled end of the session. Coaches are not allowed to transport players.
There must be a minimum of 10 players to have the session.
If we cancel three consecutive sessions due to poor attendance, then all remaining weightlifting sessions are cancelled.
Share your phone number with one of the captains (Adiel, Naid, or Alex) so they can notify you of changes due to weather or anything like that.
We are sharing the weight room with numerous other teams, so we must exit the weight room promptly when our session ends. We are to leave the weight room in better condition than we found it.
