Second Grade-the 2nd week of each month
Third Grade-the 3rd week of each month
Fourth Grade-the 4th week of each month
Teachers, this is a PERFECT way for you to be knowledgeable and aware of the expectations of the students as digital citizens. Please be ready to chime in and observe student engagement.
The Red Bicyle
Any PBL? Any student reflections? Any action steps?
If not please read it before the end of October. Look for a documentation space that will be located on the wall outside Mrs. Kraick's classroom near the collaboratory.
New Technology-Who wants to try it out?
In December, I will offer a few optional PD's for teachers to explore and learn more about them.
But for now, who is ready to learn with their students?
Email me if you are interested and we will plan together.
New Sphero Sparks
Little Bits
Raspberry Pi
Makerspace-It is ready for use!
- students must be accompanied by an adult
- supplies are limited
- teach students to be responsible users
- minimize waste
- ENTER WITH A WRITTEN PLAN
Possible ideas:
Consumable makerspace materials:
- STEM Challenges (How can you build a boat with 4 items? Using only pipe cleaners and popsicle sticks, create the tallest tower. Choose 4 items to create a puppet. Create a ramp using small wooden pieces and then readjust and turn it into a marble run.)
- projects
Nonconsumable makerspace materials:
- located under tv next to Kyle's office backdoor
- Bloxels, tubes, blocks, interlocking discs, etc.
Take items back to classrooms or feel free to move tables in the collaboratory and use the space to design, plan, create, build, and even present.
BSE Broadcast-Does your class or a group of students have a story to share?
Please turn in BSE Bear Paws to the brown basket on the shelf located between Mrs. Kussy's and Mr. Kyle's offices. Please limit Bear Paws to two per classroom.
Remind students to put first and last names on Bear Paws.
After Fall Break, I will begin posting the weekly BSE Broadcast to Canvas for easy student and parent access and viewing.
