Student-led Conferences - Thursday 7th May
We are very much looking forward to welcoming you into our classrooms to participate in our Student led conferences on Thursday 7th May! This day will give you an opportunity to have your child lead you through their learning this year in the Primary School and provides an opportunity for them to share their achievements, reflect on their learning and discuss what personal goals they may have.
Our conference day begins with a welcome and coffee in the cafeteria from 08.15 – 08.45. Please be sure that your child arrives on time to school so they have time to meet with their class, have their morning circle and get prepared for their Student-led conference.
From 08.45 onwards parents/guests may go to classrooms to pick up their child and then they will journey to different locations around the school to share in a variety of learning experiences and go through their child´s portfolio of learning. Our Student –led conferences will end at 10.00 for Grade 1 - 3 students and at 10.30 for Grade 4 & 5 students. After which students will go outside for their normal morning break time. Please note if you have more than one child in the Primary School you can also do the Student led conference with both your children and move around the school as a family.
We very much look forward to welcoming you on this day as it is such an important one for our students. If you or a family member are unable to come on this day please can you let the class teacher know so that they can arrange for another teacher or member of our CCEP team to participate in the Student led conference with your child.
PE update
As the weather continues to improve we will take every opportunity to take students outdoors for their PE lessons. We also will have periods of time where the gym is in use due to Secondary School examinations and so we will be unable to access this. Therefore we will use the playground for some lessons and on other occasions we will take students to Nordbahnof park.
In light of this, please can I ask that all students come to school in PE clothes on the day when they have PE scheduled and to bring a jacket or sweater and a hat. If students want to bring a change of T-shirt they may do so and change before they return to class.
