What Are We Learning???

We have practiced writing all of the letters, naming the letter sounds and letter names of all of the letters. We will continue to review these through the end of the year. This week we will explore ways to make 9 &10 in our math journal.

This week we will continue to learn about insects and read other books by author Eric Carle. This week we will review the life cycle of a butterfly. We have caterpillars that are getting fat and should turn into chrysalis' this week. We are going to read The Grouchy Ladybug and talk about what makes us grouchy. Thursday we will read The Very Busy Spider and and make some busy spiders. Friday we will play a caterpillar math game with dice.

Speech-Language Group- May 16-20, 2016

This week, we will follow directions identifying the uppercase and lowercase letters-

Q, Y, W, U, B /q, y, w, u, b. We will practice saying a variety of sounds and words in target sentences. We will review the nursery rhymes “To Market, To Market” and “Wee Willie Winkie”.

To Market, To Market

To market, to market, to buy a fat pig,

Home again, home again, jiggety-jig.

To market, to market, to buy a fat hog,

Home again, home again, jiggety-jog.

Wee Willie Winkie

Wee Willie Winkie runs through the town,

Upstairs and downstairs, in his nightgown;

Rapping at the window, crying through the lock,

Are the children in their beds? For now it's eight o'clock!
