Diversity & Inclusion Recruiting Event – Win UGA – KY Football Tix!
The UGA Career Center is hosting a Diversity & Inclusion Recruiting event on Tuesday, Sept. 24th from 10:00-11:00 am, the morning of the Fall Career & Internship Fair. Register and attend to be entered into a drawing to win a pair of UGA – Kentucky football tickets!
This event will provide an atmosphere where you can connect with employers prior to participating in the career fair. Approximately 50 employers representing a variety of industries will be in attendance. This event is free and open to all UGA students and alumni.
Transportation will be provided from Memorial Hall to the Classic Center. Please indicate in your Handshake registration whether you will need transportation.

Calling All Graduates!
The Career Center is currently collecting employment data on all 2019 UGA graduates (August 2018, December 2018, May 2019). Complete the survey for a chance to win a prize valued at $500. FBI Honors Internship Program
Volunteers Needed! Employer Day of Service with Enterprise
Date: Saturday, October 12
Time: 8:00am - 9:00pm
Location: 400 Park Drive NE, Atlanta
We are seeking volunteers to join the Atlanta Group Enterprise Holdings' employees in the 49th Annual Atlanta Pride Festival Vendor Market held annually in Piedmont Park. Enterprise Holdings' involvement in this event is one of the many outreaches to support our Diversity and Inclusion efforts and we are thrilled to be a part of this for the third time. Many of our employees are a part of the LGBTQ community as well as family/friends, so this is a great way for us to show our company’s support.
We are looking for about 15-20 students to volunteer. We will have shifts available to choose from ranging about 3 hours each.

Arch Ready: How to Prepare for an Interview

• Recognize the different types of interview questions and strategies for answering them effectively
• Understand how to analyze a job description to identify interview talking points
• Understand how to market your individual/unique strengths for an interview
• Develop insightful questions to ask at the conclusion of an interview

Arch Ready: Career Assessment 101: Discover Your Interests

Open to all students at UGA—this workshop can be applied to major and career exploration. In this interactive workshop, you will learn about your interests and how they relate to majors and careers. Please bring a printout or screenshot of your results in order to participate.
In this workshop, you will:
• Learn the importance of self‐assessment and self‐knowledge related to career planning.
• Review the results of your interest assessment in depth.
• Find and use resources to connect your interests to college majors and occupations.
This workshop is limited to 25 people per session and pre-registration is required. Students can attend ONE "Career Assessments 101: Interests" workshop for Arch Ready credit.

Arch Ready Express Workshop: How to Improve Your Resume

Time: 3:00pm & 4:00pm
Location: Career Center Multipurpose Room, Clark Howell Hall
This 30-minute express workshop will cover the top five tips for resumes in 15 minutes, with an additional 15 minutes for questions. Please note that you will not have your resume critiqued during this time, however, you can have specific questions answered about your resume. If you're in need of some quick resume tips in between classes, this workshop is for you! This workshop is open to ALL majors at UGA. PLEASE BRING YOUR RESUME AND/OR YOUR LAPTOP TO PARTICIPATE.
This workshop is open to ALL majors at UGA and counts toward your Arch Ready Professionalism Certificate.

Personal Branding for Graduate Students

As a graduate student, you have a rich array of skills and experiences to draw upon – and you should be leveraging these unique attributes! This workshop will discuss personal branding strategies to enhance your career success as a graduate student. Topics will include a general overview of personal branding as well as specific strategies related to social media, resumes/cover letters, and interviewing.
Arch Ready: Writing a Personal Statement
Date: Thursday, September 12
Time: 5:00pm

In this session, you will learn how to:
- Understand the role of a personal statement in the admissions process
- Recognize common challenges and mistakes when writing personal statements
- Name some components of a strong statement
- Identify reflective questions to help the writing process and strategies for concise writing
