Please let us know if we can tailor a tour to meet your specific needs. Contact us to schedule your visit- we are happy to open outside our typical hours to accommodate your schedule.
Lasting Legacies
We are putting the final touches on Phase One of our new exhibit, Lasting Legacies: The Women of Little Traverse Bay. In this first phase, we will showcase a few area women and their unique contributions to the history of the area. Throughout the summer, we will be gathering stories of other significant women from members and visitors. Be sure to visit us this summer to share the story of your grandmother, favorite aunt, or remarkable neighbor.
Picnic on the Porch
One of the best spots in town for a picnic is our own front porch! Please join us Thursday, August 18 for a gourmet boxed dinner filled with special Petoskey treats. The always popular Jerry Donnelly will share the story of how he gets all his research materials and answer questions about the downtown history, his current specialty. Plan to stay after the program and watch the Million Dollar Sunset!
New Archivist
We are pleased to announce that Petoskey native Mr. Philip DeLoria has joined our staff. Phil is an archivist who has previously worked at the University of Michigan, Ball State University, and the University of Baltimore. He has been merging our various paper and computer based catalogues into one user-friendly digital resource.
Event Venue
Are you searching for the perfect place to host a special event? The museum might be just the right spot! Consider renting the museum after hours for your wedding reception, birthday party, or corporate retreat. Contact us for details.
Volunteers
Our fabulous volunteers make a great museum experience possible for our patrons. If you are interested in volunteering this season, please let us know! A typical desk shift is three hours once a week or a shared shift, once every other week. Hours are 10-1 or 1-4. No experience is necessary.
