TECH TALK
Digital Literacy and Responsibility are key components that each child should understand. Here is a resource that teaches digital citizenship, your child's digital footprint and other important features of being safe on-line. https://www.commonsensemedia.org/
As always do not be afraid to monitor and check your students on-line presence and activity.

Don't just ask a question. Expand their world and ignite a discussion! Foster previous experiences, share a booktalk, discuss current projects and events, delve deep into STEAM ideas, or collaborate to act out a sketch. If you believe it's valuable for students to verbalize their learning experience.

Character Council - Pursuing the Pillars of Integrity
This year our theme is Courageous Leaders and are excited to reveal our new Character Council at the Homecoming parade.
Most recently Character Council has been involved in the planning and preparation of our Spirit Days for Homecoming, raising money for Shared Blessing and participating in the Homecoming parade.
The Farmington Middle School Character Council provides students with leadership opportunities within the school setting. Character Council is comprised of student representatives who apply for the position and are FMS role models endorsed by staff members and succeed in a selection process. The FMS Character Council leads school wide character education efforts. They model the Eight Pillars of Integrity, lead service learning opportunities, and plan school spirit activities and events. Character Council meets before school daily and plans for and coordinates service projects, character education activities, and other service learning opportunities. Applications for new members are available each spring of the school year for consideration for membership the next school year
