Cannon Elementary Employee of the Month
The teacher of the month is dynamite, the bomb-diggity, a fire cracker, and all these rolled into one! She is always on the go helping in any way that she can for ACE. She helps in the mornings, evenings, bus runs, and has a computer class for ACE. I just have to start a sentence and she is on it….. she is now greeting our ACE students every morning by helping them out of the car and takes them to either games or the lab to play on computers. Every day she sets out the student’s name cards so each students will know where to go in the evenings. I’m so thankful she is part of our ACE team. Thank you, Jeanne Mattox, for your dedication to ACE, Cannon, and especially our children. You are an asset to us. -Nancy Johns, Cannon Ace Site Coordinator
Cannon Elementary Student of the Month
Aiden Merkley is our ACE student of the month. He has been awesome in completing his homework in class independently, participates in games and activities with his classmates each day, walks quietly in the hallways, exhibits great behavior in the cafeteria during our meal and snack time, and sets an example for the other students during bus runs. Aiden has shown the most improvement since the beginning of the year. We are so proud to have him as our student of the month! -Nancy Johns, Cannon Ace Site Coordinator

Ford High School Employee of the Month
Katherine Walla is a great asset to the Ford High School ACE program. She teaches two ACE classes: Math Matters Mindworks and Healthy Living. She has a special bond with her ACE students. She helps them on many levels. Mrs. Walla encourages students to be "servants" and to think of others before thinking of themselves. She has brought in many different guest speakers, including a doctor and a dentist. She has also held classes on various topics, such as relationships and cell phone etiquette. Thank you Mrs. Walla for thinking "outside the box" when it comes to after school education. We appreciate you. -Tawanna Pumphrey, FHS ACE Site Coordinator
